SMS Terms of Service

Effective January 1, 1970.

1. Program Description

Auto Smart Budgets operates two SMS programs that you can opt in to separately on our Subscribe page:

  • Educational Content Delivery (Account Notification): Delivery of The Smart Driver's Money Guide and follow-up educational content about the real cost of car ownership, personal vehicle budgeting, auto insurance coverage and terminology, and state minimum requirements.
  • General Car-Ownership Money Tips and Updates (Marketing): Periodic car-ownership money tips, budgeting prompts, cost-of-ownership reminders, auto insurance education, and updates to our content library.

Auto Smart Budgets is not an insurance company, agent, broker, lender, or financial advisor. We do not use SMS to sell insurance, offer financing, or refer you to any carrier, agent, lender, or dealer.

2. Consent

SMS opt-in is collected through unchecked-by-default checkboxes specific to SMS only. Each program requires a separate, distinct opt-in. Phone number is never required, and consent is not a condition of accessing any content on this site.

3. Message Frequency

Message frequency varies. You will receive an initial confirmation message after opting in. Marketing messages are generally limited to a few per month.

4. Message and Data Rates

Msg & data rates may apply. Your wireless carrier is not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

5. Opt-Out

You can cancel at any time by replying any of the following keywords to any message we send: STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT. You will receive a single confirmation message, and no further messages will be sent.

7. Supported Carriers

Compatible with major U.S. carriers including AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, and others. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

8. Privacy

Information collected through our SMS programs is used solely to deliver the messages you opted in to receive. We do not sell, share, or transfer SMS opt-in data, phone numbers, or any related personal information to insurance carriers, agents, brokers, lead aggregators, lenders, dealers, or any third-party marketer under any circumstance. 9. Changes

We may update these SMS Terms at any time. The current version will always be posted on this page.
